Giveaway: Mandarin Gluten free sauces

Gluten free sauces

THIS COMPETITION IS NOW CLOSED. I’M DELIGHTED TO ANNOUNCE THAT THE WINNER IS: Julie Johnson. CONGRATULATIONS JULIE, SWEET MANDARIN SAUCES WILL BE IN TOUCH WITH YOU TO ARRANGE DELIVERY OF YOUR PRIZE!

I have a surprising number of friends who have discovered that their either Celiac or gluten-intolerant over the past few years. Being able to feed them has been a necessary learning curve, it’s amazing how many things include gluten when you have to stop and think about it! That’s why I was excited to hear about these new Chinese dipping sauces by Sweet Mandarin Sauces.

There are three different flavours: barbecue, sweet chilli and sweet and sour and you can use them either as dipping sauces or as an addition to your stir fry. I’ve tried all 3 (I think the sweet chilli is my favourite) and they’re all delicious.

They best thing is, you can’t tell that they’re gluten-free. That may sound odd, but I’ve sample plenty of gluten-free bread and pasta and they’ve all been pretty unpalatable. These sauces on the other hand are fabulous, whether you’re gluten-intolerant or not!

Fancy winning a pack of all 3 Sweet Mandarin Sauces?

Simple! For your chance to win a pack of the 3 different sauces mentioned above ‘like’ my new Nice Like Nigella Facebook page, and then pop back here and post a comment telling me you’ve done it!

It would also be lovely if you could like the Sweet Mandarin Sauces Facebook page. You don’t have to, but it would be a nice thing to do!

Gadget giveaway: win a Salad Zinger

Gadget giveaway: win a Salad Zinger

THIS COMPETITION IS NOW CLOSED. THE WINNER IS: Emma Smith. CONGRATUATIONS EMMA, ROOT 7 WILL BE IN TOUCH TO ARRANGE YOUR PRIZE SOON.

What’s a Salad Zinger I hear you ask? Well, it’s the most exciting thing that’s happened to my salad bowl recently that’s for sure! It’s a great way of making tasty salad dressings, super-easily and without any hassle. Just add something yummy in the base (I used garlic, red onion, orange and basil) and when you screw the bladed lid on it chops all your ingredients up nicely.

Then you just add some vinegar (or lemon juice) and oil, shake and voila! You have a weeks worth of supremely tasty salad dressing ready to use in your fridge!

I love the fact that you can flavour your dressing with ingredients which would normally be a bit of a pain to use: berries, onion etc. No chopping or blending necessary 🙂

And anything which helps you to eat more salad has got to be great, right?

Fancy winning yourself one?

Simple! For your chance to win a Salad Zinger sign up to my email updates here and post a comment letting me know what you’d put in your salad dressing!

It would also be lovely if you could like the Zing Anything Facebook page. You don’t have to, but it would be a nice thing to do!

Gadget giveaway: Win a citrus zinger

Citrus ZingerTHIS COMPETITION IS NOW CLOSED. THE WINNER IS: CHRISTINE MUTTER. CONGRATULATIONS CHRISTINE, ZING ANYTHING WILL BE IN TOUCH TO ARRANGE YOUR PRIZE SHORTLY!

My husband has a real aversion to water. Don’t get me wrong, he bathes regularly and likes swimming, but just doesn’t like DRINKING water. Despite this he’s been trying to find a healthy substitute to living on Coke and black coffee, and one thing he’s found that fits the bill perfectly is water with a squeeze of lemon juice. It has the healthiness of water and some fruit – what could be the problem I hear you ask…?

Well frankly, the mess is the problem! He squeezes himself half a lemon maybe 4 or 5 times a day, and my draining board is constantly covered in sticky juice and lemon pips. And yes, I’ve asked him to wipe it up, but after 11 years of marriage I’ve realised that I’m not going to get too far with that either.

Becasue of this, I was rather excited to discover the Citrus Zinger. It’s a neat and easy self-contained way of flavouring your water with citrus fruits. You simply unscrew the bottom, place lemon, orange or lime on the squeezer, do it back up and then fill with water. Voila! Lovely fruit-flavoured water without all that mess and fuss! Also, because the fruit stays in the flask it keeps infusing while you’re drinking. Pefect for taking to the office or gym too!

The people at Zing Anything also make clever solutions for other fruit flavoured water and even flavoured vodka!

I have a Citrus Zinger to give away to 1 lucky reader.

Win a stylish Corkcicle wine cooler

Corkcicle Wine Cooler
THIS COMPETITION IS NOW CLOSED. THANKS TO EVERYONE WHO ENTERED, THE WINNER IS LYNNE BAKER. CONGRATULATIONS LYNNE, CORKCICLE WILL BE IN TOUCH TO ARRANGE YOUR PRIZE!

I’m delighted to host my first giveaway on Nice Like Nigella, thanks to the great people at Corkcicle UK. I’ve had my eye on a Corkcicle for a while now so I was delighted to finally get my hands on one, especially as it coincided with the beautiful summer weather we’re finally having.

And let’s face it on Wimbledon final weekend, what’s nicer than a barbecue and some chilled white wine in the garden. So, what’s a Corkcicle? It’s an ingenious wine cooler in the shape of an icicle, which you freeze and just pop into your wine when you want to keep it chilled in the garden. It’s less messy and drippy than an ice bucket, you don’t constantly have to keep a bag of ice in your freezer AND keeps your wine wonderfully cool. When you’re done, you just pop the Corkcicle back in the freezer for the next time!

So, how do I win one?

For your chance to win your own Corkcicle, just post a comment below telling us your favourite summer-time tipple (it doesn’t have to be wine!).
Please like the Corkcicle UK Facebook page too – not because it’s part of the competition entry, but just because it would be a nice thing of you to do…
